Kiki Lowenstein World Tour--Will I Visit YOU?

I'm starting to plan my Kiki Lowenstein World Tour (May 2010)--and so far I have a lot of nice invitations to consider. After all, I'll be celebrating the release of Photo, Snap, Shot (Book #3 in the Kiki Lowenstein Mystery Series) and National Scrapbook Month.

My goal is to start out from my new home in the Washington DC area and drive west. Once I get as far west as I can go, I'll fly home. I'm thinking of traveling through Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri and Kansas. At least, that's the plan so far!

Of course, I'd love to meet YOU and your friends.

What will determine where I stop? If I can find a library to visit, a bookstore to host a signing, a scrapbook store to stop by, or a cropping group that's meeting, I'll do my best to show up. I can't promise, of course, until I see what my options are.

Would you like me to stop by? Send me an email at joannaslan@aol.com Put "World Tour" in the Subject Line. Tell me the name of a local scrapbook store, library, and/or bookstore. Tell me how we can get a number of people together who might want to buy my books or have me teach a class. In other words, help me plan my tour.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Joanna,
Anderson's Bookstore in Naperville,IL is a great place for authors. A scrapbooking store is also located there. Naperville is a city of about 130,000 people in the western suburbs of Chicago. Would love to see you in the area.
Oops, almost forgot Centuries and Sleuths, an independent mystery bookseller, in Forest Park, IL, a western suburb a little closer to Chicago.
Best,
Margaret Franson

Only at a time like this can I say...I wish I didn't live in California! You aren't coming out West, are you Joanna? If you are, I'd love to organize an event for you. Either way, congrats on ALL your books and your success. You are living my dream :)

Thanks to both of you for great suggestions. I'll certainly add both of them to my list of possibilities. Erika, I usually visit California in January, usually the second weekend. I stay near Balboa Island. Any ideas for an event near there?

Just so you all know...I totally understand that this is NOT a World Tour. It's a joke! (I had a friend who bought a satin jacket and had "World Tour" embroidered on it. I admired his spunk!) After all, today I'm planning from DC to, oh, maybe Iowa, but tomorrow...the real WORLD!! Right?

Mysteries To Die For in Thousand Oaks, California is THE best place to go for authors. We have a library close by and many scrapbooking stores that I am sure we can arrange to also meet and greet you.http://www.mysteriestodiefor.com/

I am WAY north of Balboa Island, but if you take them up on the Thousand Oaks offer, I will be there! That's about 2.5 hours south of me (Cali is huge :).

Gosh, all these offers sound grand. I know I'll be in San Fran next fall (2010), and sadly, I just learned there's no Balboa Island trip this year. Still, who knows? Something may come up! I'll start a file with all these ideas.
